Jeffrey Todd “Jeff” Black age 41 of Bloomington, Ill. passed away at 9:09 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2015 at his residence. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday Sept. 1, 2015 at the Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, with military rites accorded by Bloomington -Normal American Legion Honor Guard at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to his children’s education fund. Jeff was born March 14, 1974 in Bloomington, Ill. the son of David and Barb Bicknell. He married Jessica J. Burrell on January 2, 2012 in Normal, Ill. She survives.

Also surviving are his parents David and Barb Bicknell, Bloomington, Ill., four children, Dakota Black, Austin Black, Nicholas Burrell, April Black, all of Bloomington; maternal grandmother Araminta Williamson,Bloomington; brother David C. (Dianna) Bicknell of Georgia, mother and father In-Law Rose & Tony Burrell, Bloomington and nieces and nephews

Jeff served in the US Army. He was a truck driver for several over the road companies most recently CPC Logistics, Bloomington, IL. He was avid Chicago Bears Fan and NASCAR Fan. He enjoyed fishing and riding motorcycles and spending time with his family. He loved his children more than anything. Belinda L. Robinson, 60, of Bloomington, Ill. passed away at 2:45 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 29, 2015 at her home.

Her funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 1 at Eastview Christian Church in Normal with Pastor Jim Probst officiating. Visitation will be held on Sept. from noon to 2 p.m. also at the church.

Interment will be at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Bloomington. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society in Belinda’s name. The family of Belinda has entrusted Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington to handle her arrangements.

Belinda was born on September 12, 1954 in Plum City, Wisc. a daughter to Boyd and Betty (Golden) Hanson. She married Bruce Robinson on November 29, 1985 in Redwing, MN, he survives.

In addition to her husband Bruce, Belinda is survived by a daughter, Erin Robinson and a son, John Robinson both of Bloomington; two brothers, Brian (Annie) Hanson of Richfield, MN and Barry (Cindy) Hanson of Rosemount, MN; along with one sister, Beverly Hanson of Rochester, MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Belinda graduated from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls with a degree in music education and was an accomplished concert violinist. She was a motivated entrepreneur. Belinda was a member of Eastview Christian Church in Normal.

She enjoyed sewing and was an avid quilter.

Belinda was deeply loved and will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Master Sergeant U.S. Air Force Retired Benny L. “Ben” Stevens age 85 of Normal, Ill. formerly of Gifford passed away 9:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 28, 2015 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington, Ill. A Patriot Guard Riders Service will be noon Saturday Sept. 5 at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, Ill with his memorial service to follow Rev.Tiffany Black will officiate. Military accorded Bloomington -Normal American Legion Honor Guard after the service at the memorial home. Private inurnment will be at a later date.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to noon Sept. 5 at the memorial home. The family suggests memorials be made to Planned Pethood International 4170 Tennyson St, Dever, Colorado 80212 or Pheasants Forever. Ben was born April 24, 1930 in Boyceville, Wisconsin the son of Clifford and Alva Follensbee Stevens. He married Esther M. Gentry on December 24, 1962 in Howard County, Kokomo, Indiana. She survives.

Survivors include three children, Jerri (John) Fryar, Rio Rancho, New Mexico, Dr. Jeffrey (Petra) Young, Denver, Colorado, Jay (Glenda) Stevens, Normal, Ill., eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; two brothers, Dwight Stevens, Stevens Pointe, Wisc., Collin (Caroll) Stevens, Jefferson, Wisc.; two sisters, Bev (Ralph) Rogers, Georgetown, Texas, Jan (Connie) Chumas, Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Ben served in the U.S. Air Force for 23 years in Flight Line Security First Sergeant and he later obtained the rank of Master Sergeant and served in Vietnam. After Ben retired he worked as patrolman in Gifford, Ill. and later became Chief of Police in Gifford. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, hunting and golfing. He and Esther spent seven summers on Lake Opinicon, Ontario, Canada managing a fishing camp. He was an active member of the Gifford Lions Cub.
