Cardinals begin key road trip vs. Cubs tonight on WJBC

The St. Louis Cardinals head into the final week before the All-Star break with a crucial eight-game, seven-day road trip against the two teams that are trying to catch them in the National League Central.

The Cardinals begin a four-game set against the Cubs at Wrigley Field tonight. Former Boston Red Sox’ teammates John Lackey (St. Louis) and Jon Lester (Chicago) are the scheduled starting pitchers.

The Cardinals lead the third-place Cubs by 8.5 games while the Pittsburgh Pirates are six games behind.

WJBC 1230 AM and the Cardinals Radio Network will have the play-by-play starting at 6:10 p.m.
