Juveniles arrested for armed robbery

NORMAL – The Normal Police Department has arrested two juveniles for armed robbery following an incident in the 1500 block of N. Main Street Thursday night.

Police were called to the area where a 15-year-old male claimed he was robbed at gunpoint by two other males.

Police located a 17-year-old and 15-year-old matching the suspect’s descriptions at the intersection of Main Street and Orland Avenue. Officers recovered a BB handgun and items belonging to the victim.

The juveniles were charged with armed robbery and taken to the Juvenile Detention Center.
