BLOOMINGTON – A man is accused of harassing a bloomington police officer. 49-year-old Kevin Simpson is charged with two counts of cyber-stalking and and one count of telephone harassment. Court records accuse Simpson of harassing Bloomington Police Lt. Tim Stanesa between May 11 and May 15.
Simpson allegedly posted derogatory remarks and a photo of Stanesa online, and then left a harassing voice mail for the office on May 15.
Simpson was sentenced to two years of probation and ordered to undergo a mental health evaluation in 2013 for intimidating now-retired judge Elizabeth Robb. Robb was presiding over a court case involving Simpson and his family.
Simpson has been released on $5,025 bond under the condition that he have no contact with Lt. Stanesa.
