WASHINGTON, D.C. – This month, it's been deja vu all over again as government watchdog group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics (CREW) is asking authorities to conduct an ethics investigation of U.S. Rep. Aaron Schock (R-Peoria).
CREW's Acting Director Ann Wiseman said they aren't pursuing the congressman excessively.
"We want a thorough investigation, but at the end of the day, we want Congressman Schock to comply with the law and the rules," Wiseman said.
The Office of Congressional Ethics has been asked to investigate the actions of the 33-year-old congressman about possibly violating House ethics rules by using taxpayer and campaign funds for private air travel and concert tickets. It's the third such request from CREW,
