CHICAGO – Illinois' Department of Agriculture is facing a lawsuit from a Chicago company that claims the state did not follow its own guidelines when it awarded the company's competitor a medical marijuana license.
The suit filed in Cook County Circuit Court by PM Rx LLC seeks an injunction to prevent Cresco Labs from receiving the license. The company claims the state did not follow the proper scoring system when deciding which company would be the cultivation center in District 21, which includes
Ford, Iroquois and Kankakee counties.
PM Rx also wants both companies' applications to be rescored.
