BLOOMINGTON – People who've been diagnosed with cancer and require chemotherapy may be eligible to participate in a new study.
It's designed to detect a condition known as chemobrain. That's a relatively new term that refers to a decrease in memory and the ability to focus. Doctors are hoping to create a preventative treatment or cure for the illness by measuring brain waves.
Those who participate in the study must be at least 18 and have normal hearing in both ears. Call the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield at (217) 545-7579 for more details.
