Coroner announces Allison’s official cause of death

BLOOMINGTON – Autopsy results are in for Ben Allison.

The 20-year-old ISU student died this week following a hit and run in the crosswalk at College and Fell avenues in Normal. McLean County Coroner Kathleen Davis said Allison died from severe head injuries related to the car incident.

Joshua Dunn, 21, of Crystal Lake is facing charges of leaving the scene of an accident causing death. Those charges could still be upgraded. Toxicology results on Allison are pending. Dunn is also an ISU student.
