NORMAL – A local soccer coach has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a minor.
Cristian Aranda has been removed as a volunteer coach from Normal West High School's Soccer team after it was learned he was arrested for one count of predatory criminal sexual assault and three counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse of a child younger than 13.
Aranda was also listed on the Illinois Fusion traveling soccer team website as a coach. We called the organization's director of coaching and soon after all references to Aranda were removed from the website.
Aranda was arrested on Jan. 15 and is currently being held in the McLean County Jail. He will be arraigned on Jan. 30.
