Early morning fire destroys apartment, but no one injured

NORMAL – Officials are investigating an early morning fire in Normal.

The fire happened at 4:07 a.m. Tuesday at an apartment building located at 202 N. Fell. Matt Swaney, public information officer with the Normal Fire Department, said the apartment was destroyed, but four students that lived there got out safely.

There is no dollar estimate on the damage as of Tuesday morning.
