Anna Reeser

Anna Mae “ Maisie” Reeser, 83, of Normal passed away at 12:03 p.m. on Jan. 8.

Her private family funeral service will be at the Mennonite Church of Normal. The Rev. Tim Schrag will be officiating. Burial will be at Friends Cemetery, Bentown, Ill.

The family suggests memorials be to the Mennonite Church Normal. Arrangements are being handled by Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington.

Maisie was born  March 13, 1931 in Hammond, Ind. the daughter of Thomas and Virginia Poole Beasley. She married Kenneth L. Reeser on Nov. 29, 1958 in Normal. He passed away Dec. 8, 2006.

Surviving are three children, Connie (Blair) Reeser-Hall, Normal, Rhonda (Bill) Friedrich, Bloomington, Kevin (Jennifer) Reeser, LeRoy; four grandchildren, Taylor Friedrich, Bloomington, Logan Friedrich, Bloomington, Jake Reeser, LeRoy, Kyle Reeser, LeRoy; two sisters, Shirley Jannusch, Bloomington, Kathy Howe, Farmer City; one brother, Jerry (Shirley) Beasley, Farmer City; four brother & sister-in-laws, Don (Cheryl) Reeser, Fairfield, Tenn., Bob (Evelyn) Reeser, Bloomington, Larry(Louise) Reeser, Heyworth, Pat (Rick) Burns, Ashland, Ohio.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother Thomas “Junior” Beasley, Jr.

Maisie, originally from Farmer City lived most of her life east of LeRoy. She was a member of the Mennonite Church Normal and LeRoy Rutledge Club. She had worked 25 years at State Farm Insurance Company. Maisie enjoyed supporting Ken’s passion for Angus cattle and being a wonderful, loving Mom and Grandma.
