Sen. Brady calls for bipartisanship in 2015

BLOOMINGTON – A Democrat controlled legislature and a Republican governor…can anything really get done to improve Illinois with that set up?

It's a question many are asking. State Sen. Bill Brady (R-Bloomington) believed progress can be made, but there is going to have to be teamwork.

"For the last 12 years a one party ruling, the Democratic Chicago party ruling in the State of Illinois has not worked," said Brady. "I think it's time to set aside partisan labels and work together."

Brady said he wouldn't call state leadership "divided," he would call it "united."

"In that we're all going to have to work together," he said.

Brady believed the bipartisan nature elected officials are going to have to work with will lead to a focus on what meets the needs of the people.
