Obituaries: Beebe

Linda Diana Beebe, age 67, of Normal, passed away 12:38 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2014 at Sugar Creek Alzheimer Special Care Center, Normal.

Her funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday,  Jan. 10, 2015, First Christian Church Francesville, 192 East Lyman Street, Francesville, Ind.

James Ketchen will be officiating. Burial will be in Roseland Cemetery, Francesville, Ind. Visitation will be 10 – 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 10, prior to the service, at the First Christian Church Francesville. The family suggests memorials be made to Sugar Creek Alzheimer Special Care Center, Normal, or to a charity of donor’s choice.

Arrangements are being handled by Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington.

Linda was born Jan. 21,1947 in Spring Valley, Ill., the daughter of Robert  W.  and Sylvia  I. Lewis Huffstodt. She married  Bobby "Bob" Dever on July 20, 1963 in Princeton, Ill.

Later married Donald Smith  on  Nov. 20, 1976 in Princeton, Ill. He died Sept. 10, 1998.

Then married Gerald "Jerry" Beebe on June 23, 2001 in Tracy, Iowa. He died Feb. 22, 2009.

She is preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother Bob Sterling,  great grandson, Koda Thomas Schuster.

Linda was a homemaker and had lived in Wyanet, Ill. and later moved to Princeton, lll. then moved to Francesville, Ind., and then to Tracy, Iowa and most recently she had lived with her daughter Chris and son In-law Mike in Normal.  Linda enjoyed spending time with  her family.  She had been a very active member at the First Christian Church Francesville, Ind and most recently she was a member of Eastview Christian Church, Normal.
