James Hays

James I. Hays, 68, of Normal, passed away at 4:48 p.m. on Dec. 15 at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center, Normal.  A family graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at East Lawn Cemetery, Bloomington. Rev. Camilla Hempstead will officiate. There will be no visitation.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Community Cancer Center, Normal. Cremations services are being handled by Beck Memorial Home, Bloomington. 

James was born March 13, 1946 in Normal, the son of Delmar Leo and Mary F. Shelton Hays.                                             

Surviving are two brothers, John Lettner, Normal, Bill (Sue) Hays, Bloomington; one niece, Kim (Troy) Kletz, Heyworth; one niece-in-law, Cyndi Hays, Bloomington; also surviving several great nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; one nephew, Bill Hays;  one great, nephew A.J. Hays.

He will be missed by all who knew him.
