PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) — As day three of the Sean Grayson trial kicks off at the Peoria County Courthouse, people plan to make their return to the streets just outside.
On Monday, a large crowd of people gathered to demand justice for Sonya Massey, who was shot and killed by Grayson on July 9, 2024, while responding to her call that someone was trying to break into her home.
Another crowd is expected to show up outside the courthouse again on Wednesday, with people likely to hold signs and chant while hearing speeches again.
Speeches outside the courthouse are expected to begin at 1 p.m. on Wednesday.
