PEKIN, Ill. (WMBD) — A man was arrested after allegedly spreading harmful materials to a child, police said.
Michael S. Ritchason, 47, was arrested on Oct. 8 on charges of dissemination of harmful materials, but has since been released from the Tazewell County Jail, said Pekin Police Chief Seth Ranney.
The Pekin Police Department was told on Oct. 5 that there was evidence “relating to an ongoing dissemination of harmful materials to a juvenile incident,” said Ranney.
The investigation by the department was given to the Tazewell County States Attorney’s Office for prosecution, he said.
The Riverside Community Church confirmed he is a pastor there.
No further information will be released from the department, the chief said.
