NORMAL, Ill. (WMBD) — The town of Normal’s Water Department has issued a boil water order for dozens of addresses due to a repairs to a water main.
The boil order is in effect for multiple buildings on West Hovey Avenue and one on South Adelaide Street, according to a Facebook post by the town of Normal government.
Water Department director John Burkhart said the order comes after crews found an inoperable water valve in the area. Repairs on the valve required the boil order to go into effect.

- 810 S. Adelaide St.
Burkhart said that a sample of the water has been sent for testing and once they are given the okay, the boil order will be lifted.
