BLOOMINGTON, Ill. (WMBD) — A man was arrested Saturday after shots were fired in Bloomington.
Lorenzo L. Aken, 45, of Bloomington, was arrested on counts of possession of a weapon by a felon, aggravated unlawful possession of a weapon and reckless discharge, said a release from the Bloomington Police Department.
Officers with the Bloomington police were called to the 700 block of East Jefferson Street to a report of people hearing gunshots, the release said.
When officers arrived they found bullet casings that had been shot but no injuries or damage to property.
While searching the area, officers found Aken walking around, and he allegedly matched the suspect description.
He was taken in for questioning and was subsequently arrested and taken to the McLean County Jail. It didn’t not appear he had been formally charged, based upon online records from the McLean County Circuit Clerk’s office.
