60 Central Illinoisans joined me (Scott Miller) on an incredible paradise filled trip to the islands of Hawaii.  We spent 3 days in Honolulu before boarding the NCL Pride of America cruise ship.

Waterfalls, sea turtles, whales and mai tai’s oh my!

The Honolulu Hilton Hawaiian Village was a great resort with plenty of shopping and dining options to ease into the time/weather change of Hawaii. We all experienced a moving visit to Pearl Harbor/ USS Arizona Memorial. 

The next day included a wonderful luau and breath of life fire show at the Polynesian Cultural Center and then boarded the ship for an inter-island 7-day cruise. 

Maui, Hilo and Kauai were perfect stops to find the aloha spirt. A sea swell caused the cancellation of our stop in Kona, but an unexpected sea day allowed for more pool time and naps on a cabana chaise lounge.

The aloha spirit will be with me for years to come.
