MCLEAN – Residents of Mt. Hope-Funks Grove Fire Protection District will have three separate tax propositions on the general election ballot.

They’re proposing to add a separate tax levy with a limit of point ten percent to support rescue services and equipment. To increase the rate on the district’s general corporate tax levy from point thirty percent to point forty percent. And to increase the rate limit on the district’s ambulance tax levy to point forty percent from the current rate of point thirty percent.

The proposals will allow the district to levy additional dollars for service to the community.

“To increase our salaries for the ambulance, for the personnel, hire some additional personnel with that as well. And then that that third line item that includes for personnel and equipment so we can subsidize that to help pay for some of the equipment that we may need,” said Fire Chief Eric Fulk.

Those three proposals will be on your ballot for the upcoming general election.
