NORMAL – Two organizations are coming together for a blood drive.
On Wednesday, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., The Chi Beta Beta Chapter and The Bloomington-Normal Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. are hosting the “Coleman Love Blood Drive.”
The goal is to get 25 donors, especially African-Americans, and bring awareness to the need for blood in the community.
“Both of our organizations decided to partner up and solicit donors to give blood so we can help out with that low number of donors, especially that low output of African-Americans to donate blood,” said Sylvester Davis, member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
The drive is being held in the Escalante Room in the Vrooman Center on Illinois State University’s campus from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The address is 215 West Mulberry Street. Walk-ins are welcome but sign-ups are encouraged. To sign-up click here.
