BLOOMINGTON – A woman was arrested in connection to a shots fired incident on Saturday.
According to a Bloomington police news release, 31-year-old Amelia R. Hatch was arrested and then charged with reckless discharge of a firearm, two counts of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and battery.
She appeared in McLean County Circuit Court on Monday for an initial appearance on the charges which carry a 3-year maximum prison term.
Officers initially responded to the area near Todd and Gettysburg drives at approximately 9:34 a.m. after reports of a fight and shots being fired.
When officers arrived on the scene, they located evidence that shots were fired. No injuries were reported, and no property damage was located. Bryce Janssen, a Bloomington police spokesman, said Hatch was allegedly involved in the fight.
Hatch is set to be arraigned on Feb. 9. She has been released pending the outcome of her case, according to court records.
