BLOOMINGTON – The City of Bloomington has announced a new director of the water department.
Ed Andrews comes to the city after most recently working for Infrastructure Engineering as the Peoria Operations Manager. Before that he served as a city engineer, county engineer and a resident engineer for the Illinois Department of Transportation.

“We’re facing significant water infrastructure projects ahead, and need someone who can efficiently execute them, deliver cost-effective improvements, and effectively communicate the excitement surrounding these enhancements to the community,” said Bloomington City Manager Tim Gleason in a news release.
“I am honored to have the opportunity to serve the city and its residents,” said Andrews. “I am excited to lead the Water Department and work with the dedicated team to maintain and improve the essential infrastructure that supports the community’s quality of life.”
Andrews started his new role on Monday.
