BLOOMINGTON – It was a hazy Tuesday afternoon throughout central Illinois due to wildfire smoke from Canada and the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency has issued air quality alerts throughout the area.
According to the alert, smoke from wildfires in Canada is moving into Central Illinois and is pushing our air quality into unhealthy or worse categories.
Due to the poor air quality, active children and adults, especially those with respiratory issues, should avoid outdoor activity.
The air quality alert is in effect Wednesday until midnight.
