BLOOMINGTON – McLean County Museum of History executive director Julie Emig is out on medical leave until December.
According to a press release from the museum, her prognosis is exceptionally good with a full recovery expected. Emig did not disclose the health issue that prompted her to take time off.
While Emig is managing her health, the museum’s board has named development director Norris Porter as the acting executive director.
Emig is also taking medical leave from the Bloomington City Council. She represents Ward 4 on the council which covers parts of north Bloomington and the city’s near east side.
