BLOOMINGTON – A local entertainment venue is requiring proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test for all indoor shows through the end of September.
The Castle Theatre in Bloomington made that announcement Monday on Facebook. The venue says patrons will be asked to show either a valid vaccination card or the negative test result — alongside a government-issued ID when they arrive at the door.
Per CDC guidelines, The Castle Theatre is also asking all guests to consider wearing a mask unless actively drinking, regardless of your vaccination status.
Some shows may have additional requirements as outlined by the artists, in which case all ticket holders will be notified either by email, or on social media.
“Most venues and festivals across the country are now adopting these policies to protect their staff, artists and guests,” the venue wrote in the Facebook post. “These policies are not political statements nor are they perfect. They are simply the best we have right now as we attempt to protect everyone coming through our doors and keep live music alive.”
