BLOOMINGTON – Very soon, your local dentist may be able to administer the COVID-19 vaccine to you, if you’re in McLean County.
More than 30 dentists have been certified to administer the vaccine. The process included the dentists being CPR certified and having an accurate record keeping and reporting protocol.
The last step in getting the process started is getting approval for the facilities in which the shots will be provided, because of the intense cold that some versions have been stored.
“There’s different outlets that I know some of the pharmacies are offering the vaccine to. The thing is, if we can help increase the capacity of people that can get the vaccine, that’s the big factor that we’re looking to be able to help out with,” said Dr. Kirk Noraian.
Across McLean County, dentists have implemented multiple safety recommendations.
They still ask you maintain your oral health, which can help reduce the risk of COVID-19 infection.
