BLOOMINGTON – The City of Bloomington’s billing and online payment system is getting a new look later this week and there are a few things to know from City Manager Tim Gleason.
Gleason says the system will be down from March 12 through March 22, which means bills and payments cannot be processed during this period. Gleason told WJBC’s Scott Miller no late fees will be assessed on accounts from March 12 through April 30.
Our online payment and billing service will be down from March 12- 22 while the City transitions to a new, more user-friendly system. Late Fees will NOT be assessed through April 30.

“If they want to capture or print of their current bill, residents should do that prior to March 12,” Gleason said. “Otherwise, just sit back and wait until the new bill gets issued, and that will begin the week of March 29.”
Once the new billing system is live, all account numbers will change, and those with automatic e-payments will need to re-enroll for that preference. For those who mail-in payments, nothing will change other than the look of the bill and your account number.
“There is going to be some work on the part of the residents of the community and we apologize for that, but there is nothing that we can do with this conversion,” said Gleason. “Once we get this thing up and running it will definitely be a benefit for the city and for the residents.”
