BLOOMINGTON – McLean County prosecutors have gained a second conviction for a gun battle that killed a man on Bloomington’s east side almost two years ago.
Exodus Hebert, 20, was sentenced Friday to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to first-degree murder.
Hebert was one of three men charged with the shooting death of Juan Nash, 25, in April 2019 in the 1200 block of Orchard Road.
Scotty Allen, 20, who was wounded by the gunfire, pleaded guilty last August and was sentenced to 50 years in prison.
A third suspect, Amari McNabb, 22, is awaiting a trial that’s now scheduled for May 17.
Hebert will have to serve his entire 20 year sentence under the truth-in-sentencing law, but he gets credit for the 627 days he’s already served in jail.
