Grundy County school administrator set to become head of District 87 finances

BLOOMINGTON – District 87 will have a new administrator overseeing the school system’s finances facilities, starting July 1.

The school board Wednesday night approved a three-year contract for Michael Cornale, currently business manager of the Gardner Elementary School District, to become District 87’s Chief Financial and Facilities Officer.

Gardner is located in Grundy County.

Cornale replaces Colin Manahan, who’s retiring this summer after 24 years with District 87.

Cornale’s annual salary will be $120,000.
