MCHD reports 83 new cases of coronavirus

BLOOMINGTON – 83 new cases of coronavirus were reported Monday in McLean County.

The health department says there are 21 McLean County residents in the hospital due to COVID and 443 are in home isolation.

The county’s rolling positivity rate inched down to 4.3%, still slightly above the statewide rate of 3.9%.

143 additional people were released from isolation, now 13,235 have recovered. There have been 152 COVID-related deaths in the county.

COVID-19 Vaccine Information from the McLean County Health Department

This week’s clinics are:

  • Tuesday, February 2, and Thursday, February 4, clinics at the Grossinger Motors Arena in Bloomington for those residents due for their second dose of vaccine.
  • Wednesday, February 3, at the Activity and Recreation Center (ARC) in Normal is for residents needing their first dose of vaccine.

More time slots for first dose appointments will be opened throughout the week if additional vaccine is available. The public is encouraged to continue checking the calendar on the Health Department’s website for upcoming clinics.
