BLOOMINGTON – McLean county’s rolling positivity rate is below 8% as health officials report 75 new cases of COVID-19 increasing the county confirmed cases to 10,851.
The McLean County Health Department reports the rolling 7-day positivity rate is 7.9%, down from 8.4% on Monday.
McLean County Health Department Administrator Jessica McKnight reports 1,037 individuals are isolating at home, while 9,711 have been released from isolation and are considered recovered.
McKnight also reports 18 McLean County residents are hospitalized due to COVID-19 with 88% of ICU beds in use and 83% of total beds in use.
“We are heading into the new year with hope on the horizon as the first doses of the COVID-19 vaccine are administered in McLean County, but we cannot let our guard down. Over 4,000 cases were reported in November alone,” added McKnight. “Subsequently, we have lost forty-five members of our community to this virus in just the last two months.”
More than 168,400 tests have resulted in a cumulative positivity rate of 6.4%.
There have been 85 COVID-related deaths in the county.
