BLOOMINGTON – Help is on the way for small businesses in Bloomington affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The City of Bloomington and the city economic and Community Development Department are launching a COVID-19 Small Business Assistance Grant Program worth $220,000 to help small businesses prevent, prepare for, and respond to the pandemic.
The program will serve for-profit businesses with annual revenues of up to $1 million and 50 or fewer employees. Eligible businesses can receive a one-time grant of up to $5,000. The CARES Act funds the program.
According to officials, grants would be issued to qualified applicants on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Grant funds may be used for rent or mortgage payments, utilities, personal protective equipment, and other COVID-related costs.
