MCHD reports 167 new coronavirus cases; 253 more recover

BLOOMINGTON – McLean County added 167 new cases of COVID-19 Friday, as the county’s rolling positivity rate dropped to 10.9%.

There are 1,192 people in home isolation and 20 McLean County residents are hospitalized due to COVID, according to the McLean County Health Department. Local hospitals are reporting 81% of ICU beds in use and 93% of total beds in use.

The McLean County Health Department reported 961 new cases over the last week. An age breakdown of the new cases:

  • Under 1: 7
  • 1-17: 111
  • 18-19: 44
  • 20s: 197
  • 30s: 138
  • 40s: 115
  • 50s: 149
  • 60s: 113
  • 70s: 59
  • 80s: 17
  • 90s: 11

253 additional people were released from isolation, now 7,804 have recovered. There have been 58 COVID-related deaths in the county.
