BLOOMINGTON – Police arrested two Bloomington residents Monday afternoon for weapon and drug offenses.
Bloomington Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit arrested Daejon Johnson, 19, and a 16 year-old boy without incident from a traffic stop near the intersection of Clinton and Walnut Streets. During the traffic stop, police found two loaded pistols and cannabis.
Johnson was arrested for:
- Aggravated UUW / Vehicle / Previous Conviction
- Unlawful Use of Weapon (UUW) / Felon / Parole
- Unlawful Use of Weapon / Felon / Prior Firearm Offense
- Aggravated UUW / Loaded
- Firearm / FOID Invalid/ Not Eligible
- Manufacture / Delivery Cannabis 10-30 grams
- Possession of Cannabis 30-100 grams
Bond was requested for $250,000 – 10% to apply.
The 16-year-old was arrested for:
Armed Violence (Category 1)
Manufacture / Delivery of cannabis 10-30 grams
Possession of a firearm by a felon
No Valid DL
No other information will be released about the juvenile.
