BLOOMINGTON – Mayor Tari Renner has selected Mollie Ward to fill the Ward 7 Bloomington City Council seat that will be vacated by Scott Black at the end of this month. This selection will come forward for council consideration at its meeting on Nov. 9.
Ward is the Director of Spiritual Care for Carle BroMenn Medical Center and Carle Eureka Hospital. She is the Faith and Outreach Co-Chair for the Bloomington-Normal Not In Our Town Steering Committee, the Co-Founder and Co-Chair of the McLean County Interfaith Alliance, and member and Chaplain of the Diocese of Springfield Episcopal Church Women Board.
Ward would serve through the end of the Ward 7 seat’s term, which runs through April 30. Odd numbered council seats and the mayor are up for election April 6.
