BLOOMINGTON – A Eureka woman is being held in the McLean County Jail for a home invasion and beating that happened last Sunday in Normal.
Police said Shauntia Damm, 36, and two men forced their way into the house in the 700 block of Kathleen Drive in Normal.
Police said officers found the victim with a wooden chair leg lodged in his head.
Damm is the only person arrested so far. Police said the victim suffered serious injuries, but they’re not life-threatening. He was taken to Carle BroMenn Medical Center. His condition is not available.
Authorities are not commenting on a motive.
Damm is charged with home invasion, aggravated battery, and mob action.
She has to come up with $10,000 to be released on bond.
