BLOOMINGTON – The rolling positivity rate in McLean County is now 5.4% as local health officials Tuesday reported 42 new cases of coronavirus.

There are 12 people currently hospitalized and 347 are in home isolation, according to McLean County Health Department Administrator Jessica McKnight.
“As we look forward to enjoying fall holiday celebrations it is important to remember that even small gatherings of families and friends can put people at increased risk for COVID-19,” said McKnight. “It is important, especially now we are seeing community spread of the virus, to take responsibility to protect ourselves, our families, friends, and communities from COVID-19 through extra precautions.”
55 additional people were released from isolation, now 3,819 have recovered.
There have been 34 COVID-related deaths in the county.
