44 new COVID cases in McLean County

BLOOMINGTON – McLean County’s rolling positivity rate jumped a whole percentage point Wednesday as local health officials reported 44 new cases of coronavirus.

The county’s rolling positivity rate is 4.9%, according to McLean County Health Department Administrator Jessica McKnight. There are 11 people currently hospitalized and 304 are isolating at home.

35 additional people have recovered from the virus. There have been 30 COVID-related deaths.

MCHD and Chestnut Health Systems mobile COVID testing will be set up in Colfax from 9:00 a.m. until noon on Thursday, Drive-through and walk-up testing will be available at 307 North Harrison.

Since the end of July, MCHD and Chestnut’s mobile site has provided over 400 tests to rural communities.
