BLOOMINGTON – A 19th McLean County resident had died from COVID-19 complications.
McLean County Health Department Administrator Jessica McKnight said the patient was a woman in her 80s had underlying health conditions.
The number of active cases in the county went down to 1,266. Six people are currently hospitalized, one in intensive care, and the rest are in home isolation. An additional 111 people have been released from isolation, now 1,740 have recovered from the virus.
The county’s rolling positivity rate has been on the steady decline, dropping to 5.7%, the first time its been below 6% since Aug. 22.
Meanwhile, cases at Illinois State University have gone down over the last week, but fewer students have been tested. Six additional ISU students have tested positive, bringing the school’s positivity rate to 4.8%.
