BLOOMINGTON – Local health officials on Monday announced a 16th McLean County resident has died from coronavirus.

The patient was a woman in her 60s, according to the Illinois Department of Public Health.
The McLean County Health Department reported 38 new cases of COVID-19, a new single-day high. The number of active cases went up to 142, six people are in the hospital, and 136 are isolating at home. There are 618 residents that have recovered from the virus.
McLean County’s rolling seven day positivity rate went up to 2.1%.
Meanwhile, the Illinois Department of Public Health on Monday announced 1,773 new coronavirus cases and 12 additional deaths. The state’s rolling seven-day positivity rate is 4.2%.
