BLOOMINGTON – The McLean County Jail now has four new cases of COVID-19.
Up from just one among the inmate population on Wednesday, July 29, McLean County Sheriff Jon Sandage said of the five total cases at the jail, three are among inmates and two are among staff members.
None of these cases have required hospitalization.
The jail is testing regularly — Sandage said that if someone tests negative, they are automatically retested five days later.
Precautions are still enforced, such as limiting inmate movement and continued sanitation efforts.
