SPRINGFIELD – Get used to wearing those masks.
Gov. JB Pritzker says he sees an end date for the coronavirus mitigation measures, but that date is six or more months away.
“We don’t have to do this forever,” said Pritzker. “You’ve seen there’s progress on vaccines and treatments, and we’re not there yet. We’re not there yet. And, frankly, we are not going to be there until 2021 in my humble opinion.”
The governor spoke in Quincy, where Adams County – on the border with Missouri – is now at a warning level because of an increase in cases.
Pritzker’s remarks come two days after a “Million Unmasked March” in Springfield, where an organizer said the governor is a liar who just wants to inflate his ego, send his family to Florida and Wisconsin, and scare you into voting Democrat in November.
