4 new cases of coronavirus in McLean County; 9 more have recovered

BLOOMINGTON – The McLean County Health Department on Wednesday reported four new cases of COVID-19, bringing the county total to 337 cases.

Of those cases, four are currently hospitalized and 49 are in home isolation. There are 269 individuals that have been released from isolation and are considered recovered. There have been 15 deaths in the county.

More than 16,800 tests in McLean County have resulted in a positivity rate of 2.0%. The rolling seven-day positivity rate is 2.2%.

“We are asking that everyone continue to work together to help minimize and control the spread of COVID-19,” said MCHD Administrator Jessica McKnight. “It’s important for us all to remember the 3Ws– washing our hands, wearing a mask or face covering, and watching our distance.”

Meanwhile, the Illinois Department of Public Health reported 1,187 new cases and eight additional deaths. The state’s seven-day rolling positivity rate is 3.1%.
