BLOOMINGTON – McLean County health officials on Tuesday announced four new cases of coronavirus, bringing the county total to 232.
For the first time in over two months, there are no McLean County residents in the hospital due to COVID-19. The health department said there are 16 people in home isolation and 203 have recovered. There have been 13 deaths in the county.
“Case investigations are still underway for our four new cases reported Tuesday, but at this time we can say none of our new cases report attending any large gatherings, protests or rallies,” said MCHD Administrator Jessica McKnight.
McKnight said the Illinois Department of Public Health is encouraging anyone who has attended a large gathering or protest to get tested for COVID-19.
Meanwhile, the IDPH reports the coronavirus total statewide is now 129,212, including 6,018 deaths.
