ISU looking into racist, homophobic social media posts attributed to some students

NORMAL – Illinois State University said its looking into social media posts with racist and homophobic comments attributed to some current and incoming students.

ISU said it has received reports about these posts in the last few days. These posts have been shared with the appropriate university staff members for further follow-up, according to the school.

“We take our commitment to diversity and inclusion seriously,” the school said in a Facebook post Friday. “Racist and homophobic language and action are completely inconsistent with Illinois State’s core values.”
