5th McLean County resident dies from COVID-19

BLOOMINGTON – The McLean County Health Department on Saturday announced the fifth coronavirus death in the county.

This death was related to the recent outbreak at the Bloomington Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, according to the MCHD. This person was in the hospital and had other health comorbidities.

There were no additional cases as the McLean County total remains 161. The health department says five people are currently hospitalized, 45 are in home isolation, and 106 have recovered.

Meanwhile, the Illinois Department of Public Health announced 2,088 new cases. The statewide total now 92,457, including 4,129 deaths.
