BLOOMINGTON – A man was struck and killed by a train Thursday morning on the city’s west side, according to Bloomington Police.
BPD said officers were called around 6:20 a.m. to the intersection of West Front Street and South Allin Street. Authorities found a 60-year-old man who was reportedly struck by a train. BPD said the man was later pronounced dead by the McLean County Coroner’s office.
An autopsy is scheduled for later Thursday. The man’s identity is being withheld until family is notified.
The incident is still under investigation by BPD and the coroner’s office.
