Connect Transit won’t collect fares until June 7

NORMAL – Connect Transit has extend the suspension of fare collection on all transportation services.

The Board of Trustees voted to not collect fares until June 7.

“We continue to look at ways to eliminate the physical contact required between riders and bus operators to keep this essential service as safe as possible during the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Connect Transit general manager Isaac Thorne. “I also want to thank our bus operators for their exceptional service during this time.”
