BLOOMINGTON – There has been a slight change to the criteria for testing COVID-19 at the drive-thru facility in McLean County.
The testing site at the McLean County Fairgrounds still prioritizes testing for healthcare workers, first responders, people 65 or older, and those with underlying medical conditions. The change in testing criteria is those patients only need to have respiratory symptoms, they no longer need to have a temperature of 100.4 or greater.
McLean County Community-Based Testing Site hours: 9-5 daily. Criteria:
-Seniors (65+) *with* respiratory symptoms
-Patients w/underlying medical conditions *with* respiratory symptoms
-Healthcare workers *with* respiratory symptoms

The facility is open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. or until the daily allotment of tests runs out, which is about 250 tests per day.
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is running the site. According to officials, testing results come back in less than a week.
